Es war eine Reise ins Ungewisse auch für uns. Würden sich die Kinder
in Irland wohlfühlen?
Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, als bereits nach wenigen Tagen die
Nachricht kam:
Wenn wir die gleichen Familien wieder besuchen dürfen, fahren wir
auch nächstes Jahr!
Sowohl die Gastfreundschaft, die wunderschöne Landschaft als auch die
Bestätigung, dass
man viel mehr in Englisch verstehen und sprechen kann, als angenommen,
hat alle begeistert.
Die Nachwirkungen:
Otto hört noch immer irisches Radio. Beide sehen irish football im
Internet.
Sie haben uns Irland als Urlaubsziel empfohlen und kürzlich wurde
Lotte
überraschend auf Englisch angesprochen und konnte sofort mühelos
small talk
halten.
Otto:
Der Unterricht war sehr ansprechend und besser verständlich als in
der Schule.
Somit ist mein Verständniss auch für englische Gramatik deutlich
besser geworden.

Unsere Tochter (14) und unser Sohn (12) verbrachten 2 Wochen ihrer Sommerferien in Irland.
Das Kursprogramm umfasste 3-4 Stunden täglich und war auf ihren individuellen Kenntnisstand maßgeschneidert. Der Unterricht fand je nach Thema und Wetterlage drinnen und draußen statt. Praktische Aufgaben wie der Besuch einer Buchhandlung oder des örtlichen Fremdenverkehrsbüros sorgten für praktische Spracherfahrungen. Besonders gefallen haben Ihnen die Wanderungen und Radfahrten im umliegenden Naturschutzgebiet (Schlossbesichtigung inklusive.
Die Unterbringung in einer netten Familie sorgte für die tägliche Anwendung des Gelernten und rundete die Sprachreise mit Wochenendausflügen ans Meer und in das wunderschöne Umland ab.
Das Ergebnis war ein anhaltender Motivationsschub im Englischunterricht, sehr gute Testergebnisse in der Schule und deutlich mehr Mut zum freien Sprechen.
Unsere Erwartungen wurden nicht nur erfüllt sondern weit übertroffen!

Our son Lorenz spent two weeks in Ireland from which he came back able to speak English almost fluently.
The course was effectively run, with a focus on participation in everyday experiences.
He had 4 hours of English training in the mornings and a chance to implement his knowledge in the afternoon.
The tours involved a lot of history/culture/cycling/nature events.
He was placed in a family with similarly aged children, and spent a lot of time participating in family events.
All in all he had a very good experience and we were very satisfied with the result. Our expectations were in fact exceeded.

Our two sons, 13 and 16, spent two weeks in Killarney/ Ireland during their summer vacation. Fergus taught them in a small group of five kids.
They had four lessons every morning inside or outside depending on the weather including trips like cycling to a castle, visiting the cathedral or
walking through the National Park.
They did a lot of talking but also had to write diary, read an English book…
The boys stayed in different host families and were included in home life.
Both families did a great job to make them feel at home.
In the afternoons and on the weekends they rented a bike, went to the beach
or made excursions with their families.
They made a good progress in talking.
It was a wonderful experience for both of them and they had a great time.

Our daughter Lola spent 2 weeks in Ireland. She was welcomed very warmheartedly by an Irish family with two children. The whole family were very communicative. On weekends Lola was invited to several trips Since Lola is back from Ireland she speaks English very fluently and she is not afraid to discuss topics or tell stories within groups.
Another advantage besides people and landside was the small classroom atmosphere with interesting courses which didn’t bored the children.
After her return Lola entered the 11th class. During her vacation in Ireland she gained good English knowledge in order to prepare for her diploma in two years.
